Project overview

Super Arc Engineering Construction (SAEC) designed and installed 97 micropiles at Al Mirfa Port for Al Reef Projects.

Static load testing.

Static load tests confirmed the micropile capacity on site.

Engineering context

Port sites can combine fill, shallow saline groundwater and limited access for large plant. Micropiles can be installed with smaller rigs, and a static load test compares the measured response of a pile with the design requirement.
