Project overview

Super Arc Engineering Construction (SAEC) installed the bored piles for a jetty at Al Mirfa for NMDC.

Scope of work

Drilling of 157 bored piles, 800 mm in diameter.

Fabrication and installation of steel reinforcement cages.

Concreting of the piles between levels -5.0 m and -13 m.

Value delivered

157 piles were completed to the specified diameter and concrete levels for the jetty structure.

Engineering context

Jetty piles work in a marine environment, carrying vertical loads and horizontal forces from berthing, mooring and waves, and concrete durability is a major concern. Concreting between specified levels also calls for careful control of volumes and cut-off levels.
