Project overview

A district cooling plant in Abu Dhabi had a high water table and high salinity. Water was entering critical electrical trenches and reaching low and high voltage equipment. PROVIS commissioned Super Arc Consultant (SAC) to find the cause.

Scope of work

Geo-structural assessment of the plant.

Hydrological assessment of the groundwater conditions.

Recommendations to stop the water ingress.

Value delivered

The client received a root cause and practical recommendations for a problem that threatened the plant's operation.

Engineering context

Water in electrical trenches creates a direct risk to safety and to the plant’s operation. Assessing groundwater and structure together helps to identify the entry path and focus the repair.
