Project overview
An inspection of the basement stormwater network at Al Rayyan found total dissolved solids (TDS) above the permitted limits. PROVIS appointed Super Arc Consultant (SAC) to find out why the discharged water was so saline.
Scope of work
Assessment of the basement stormwater network and its manholes.
Investigation of the root cause of the high salinity in the discharged water.
Value delivered
The client received an explanation of the source of the salinity, needed before the discharge could be brought within limits.
Engineering context
High salinity in discharged water can point to groundwater or other sources entering a drainage network. Tracing the source helps the owner choose a correction that addresses the cause.
