Project overview
Super Arc Consultant (SAC) assessed soil contamination caused by an underground fuel leak at a fuel station in Abu Dhabi.
Scope of work
SAC measured contamination levels in the soil around the leak.
Based on the results, SAC recommended treatment methods matched to the type and extent of contamination.
Value delivered
The recommended treatment was used to clean the affected soil, giving the owner a documented basis for restoring the site.
Engineering context
A fuel leak can spread through soil and groundwater, so the type and extent of contamination need measuring before treatment is chosen. Testing around the source helps separate affected ground from unaffected ground and aim the treatment where it is needed.
