Project overview
Super Arc Engineering Construction (SAEC) installed CFA piles to support boundary walls at Yas Lean Island, Abu Dhabi, for HILALCO.
Scope of work
Installation of continuous flight auger (CFA) piles, 500 mm in diameter, under the boundary walls.
Value delivered
The boundary walls were founded on 500 mm CFA piles, a method that installs quickly and with little vibration.
Engineering context
Boundary walls are long and lightly loaded, but weak or variable ground near the surface can cause uneven settlement and cracking. CFA piles carry the wall load to firmer ground, and their installation speed suits repeated work along a long alignment.
