Super Arc Engineering Construction (SAEC) installed cast-in-situ bored piles for lighting pole foundations on Saadiyat Island for HILALCO.

Scope of work

Drilling of the pile bores.

Casing of the bores.

Installation of reinforcement cages.

Concreting of the piles.

Value delivered

Each lighting pole was set on a cast-in-situ pile built through the full sequence of drilling, casing, reinforcement and concreting.

Engineering context

Lighting poles are light, but wind acting on their height creates an overturning moment at the base. A cast-in-situ pile gives a compact foundation that resists this moment, while casing helps keep the bore stable in loose ground near the surface.
