The First Group engaged Super Arc Consultant (SAC) to investigate significant water leakage in the basements of Diamond Tower, Dubai.
Scope of work
Inspection of the basements, which showed peeling paint, corroded steel and spalling concrete caused by water seepage.
Assessment of the condition of the concrete.
Identification of the root causes of the defects.
Value delivered
The client received a diagnosis of why the basements were leaking, which is the starting point for a lasting repair.
Engineering context
Basement leakage can lead to reinforcement corrosion and spalling if left untreated. Assessing the concrete as well as the water source helps to shape a lasting repair.
