Super Arc Consultant (SAC) was appointed by Tala Concrete Repair to carry out a geotechnical investigation and probe grouting for an existing building in Abu Dhabi.

Scope of work

Geotechnical investigation of the building site.

Probe grouting.

Value delivered

Probe grouting showed where voids or weak ground lay under the building, so treatment could be targeted.

Engineering context

The ground beneath an existing building cannot be inspected directly, and access is often limited. Probe holes explore it from selected points, and the way the ground accepts grout can indicate voids or weak zones that need treatment.
