Access Road Design for Mock-Up Villas – Ramhan Island, Abu Dhabi

Project overview

Super Arc Consultant (SAC) designed a new access road from the causeway to the mock-up villas on Ramhan Island for Eagle Hills.

Scope of work

Road layout with four stacking lanes, a merging area and a roundabout.

Stormwater management system.

Solar-powered street lighting.

Utility ducts for future services.

Flushing pipes for the sewage and water systems.

Value delivered

The road was designed for visitor traffic to the mock-up villas, with ducts in place for later utility connections.

Engineering context

Access roads need to serve the current use and leave room for later development. Providing stacking space and service ducts at this stage can reduce the need to break up the road later.
